When you have made sure you are safe, there are some steps you can take
Try to prevent further loss or damage – do everything you reasonably can to secure or recover your property and to minimise any risk of further loss, damage or liability.
Report the accident or loss to the authorities – call the police immediately when required to do so by law or when your vehicle is stolen or maliciously damaged. Keep a record of the incident or report number, as well as the name of the police officer, station and date reported. We’ll need a copy of the Police report to process your claim.
Collect the details of all drivers, passengers, vehicles and witnesses – to assist us with lodging your claim:
